The term "jewelry box" oversimplifies these finely crafted creations made by Heartwood Designs. They are beyond beautiful. The artist, Michael Fisher, designs the boxes with adjustable sections to meet the needs of your own personal jewelry collection. The woods used are magnificent. Pictured here is the single-drawer design, using Cherry wood with Quilted Maple on the top. This box measures 12 inches by 9 inches by 4.5 inches deep. Pearl colored (tan) interior. There are no stains or dyes involved in the making of these boxes; only beautiful natural hardwoods. Cherry wood varies in color from a light golden to a warm brown. Each piece is signed on the bottom and engraved with the names of the woods used. For every tree used, Heartwood Designs has planted a minimum of five young trees to replace it.
